1959 Â Hindusthan Vidyut Products Ltd was incorporated in the name of The Indian Aluminium Cables Ltd.

1960 Â The company initially started production of AAC/ACSR Conductors at its Works at 7/1, Milestone, G.T. Road, Ghaziabad (U.P.) and 12/1, Milestone, Mathura Road, Faridabad (Haryana).

1982 Â The company merged a conductor and transformer manufacturing company namely Gwalior Cables & Conductors Ltd, Gwalior (M.P.) w.e.f. 1st April, 1982.

1982 Â A power cable manufacturing unit was installed by the company at Faridabad.

1982 Â HVPL was the first company in India to import 152 mm Extruder from "Mallifer Finland".

1990 Â The company developed the AACSR Conductor.

1998 Â The name of the company was changed to Hindusthan Vidyut Products Ltd by getting fresh Certificate of Incorporation dated 26th March, 1998 from Registrar of Companies, NCT of Delhi & Haryana.

2000 Â The company took over a unit manufacturing all type of insulators with the name of ÂInsulators & Electricals CompanyÂ, Mandideep, Distt. Raisen(M.P.) as a going concern w.e.f. 1st April, 2000.

2003 Â The Cable division at Faridabad was expanded by installation of CCV line to manufacture HT XLPE Power Cables.

2005 Â Installed shaft less stranding (20+24+32) machine running at 250 rpm from "BAGGAR Denmark". We are the only company in India to have this machine currently.

2005 Â CDCC line imported from "Nokia Mallifer" with reverse catenary feature, which ensures precise control of insulated core centering in curing tube. We are the Only company to have this technology.

2010 Â Executed Largest single order of 11 KV 3C x 400 Sq mm of 418 Km from BESCOM, Bangalore.

2012 Â The company successfully commenced production at its new conductor plant setup at Guwahati.

2012 Â First Solar plant with parabolic mirrors of 120 KW commissioned in 2012 for process heating.

At present, we manufacture Bare Conductors for transmission lines & HT Insulators such as Solid Core Insulator, Hollow (Bushing Insulator).

2015

-HUIL successfully commenced conductor & Aluminium wire rod production for Domestic & Export Markets at its state-of-the-art new facility in Khurda, Odisha.

2016

-Successfully implemented SAP.

-Executed First HTLS Order from Colombia for ACSS/TW Hen Conductor in FY 2016-17.

-Executed First HTLS Order from Poland for ACSS/TW Brant Conductor in FY 2016-17

-Listed in Bombay Stock Exchange

-Executed Al-59 Rod 9.5 mm from Israel in FY 2016-17

-Executed 8XXX Series Compact Conductor Orders from USA
