| YEAR EVENTS 2000 - The Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction has issued a show cause notice for winding up the ailing public sector company Hindustan Photo Films Manufacturing Ltd. 2001 -The Management of HPF seeks for financial restructuring with a total package worth of Rs.1350cr. -HPF, in Udagamandalam has managed against all odds to achieve a 8.5% increase in its turnover during the first half of the current fiscal. -Parliamentary committee asked the government to immediately begin the revival of ailing the Hindustan Photo Films before its divestment. 2002 -Hindustan Photo Films has launched newer products like Digital Imaging Films(DIF) for medical diagnostic system, ink-jet papers of photographic quality and film for laser printing industry. -Board for Industrial & Financial Reconstruction has asked the HPF Co and its promoter, the Union government to submit a fully tied-up rehabilitation proposal to ICICI. -HPF Co Ltd has defaulted in the payment of provident fund dues to the tune of Rs.5.3crs.
