The company promoted by Mr. Surinder Wazir, was incorporated on 8th May 1985 as a Public Limited Company under the name of "CLARO INDIA LIMITED" with its registered office at Srinagar.

The company had initially planned to set up a Watch making plant in Srinagar in collaboration with Claro S A Switzerland. Later the company had to drop the plan because of the politicla unstability in Sringar.

The company has been promoted by Mr. Surinder Wazir and his family.
