| YEAR EVENTS 1981 - The company was incorporated on 20th February. The company was promoted as a joint venture by Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation, Ltd. and three entrepreneurs viz., Bheem Singh Sacheti, Nathmal Hirawat and Virendra Singh Sancheti (co-promoters). The main objective of the company is to manufacture of cotton and synthetic blended fabrics. 1983 - 4,35,000 shares allotted to promoters, etc. 4,60,000 shares taken up by RIICO and 75,000 shares subscribed for by V.S. Sancheti (Co-promoter). 19,80,000 shares then issued at par of which 2,30,000 shares were reserved and allotted to RIICO. The balance 17,50,000 shares were offered to the public in August. 1987 - During the Company was able to maintain its turnover despite a strike for 4 months from July to October at its plant. This was possible mainly due to manufacture of value added yarn and development of new varieties of fancy yarn. 1993 - The Company undertook an expansion project to increase the number of spindles to 28,064 nos. for which the Company undertook to part finance the project through rights-cum-public. 1994 - During September the Company issued 17,70,000 Rights Equity shares (Prop. 3:5, Prem. Rs. 15 per share). Another 22,80,000 shares were issued at a premium of Rs. 15 per share through a prospectus as follows: - (i) 2,50,000 shares to promoters, their friends; - (ii) 2,00,000 shares to SBI Mutual Fund on firm basis, - (iii) 1,80,000 shares to employees on a preferential basis. (only 1,76,000 shares taken up). - Balance 16,50,000 shares along with 4,000 shares not taken up by employees were issued to the public (all were taken up). 1995 - 40,50,000 shares allotted through Rights and Public Issue. |
