Sonell Clocks & Gifts Limited was incorporated as a Public Limited Company on 6th January 1993 in the State of Maharashtra vide Certificate of Incorporation No.11-70333 dated 6/1/1993 issued by the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra. The Company obtained Certificate of Commencement of Business on 5/2/1993. The Company started manufacturing and marketing of quartz analogue clocks in February 1993 and the products are marketed under the brand name "SONELL". The installed capacity has over the years increased to 50,000 pieces of wooden clocks and 1,50,000 pieces of plastic clocks per annum. The Company has set up a good distribution network of dealers and distributors. The Company is also marketing the products among institional buyers. The Company took over the Assets, Liabilities and running business of M/s. Sonell Time Industries, a partnership firm engaged in the same line of activity i.e manufacture and marketing of Wooden & Plastic Clocks, on 1.04/1993. The products are marketed under the brand name "SONELL". The existing works are at Phase II, Piparia, Silvassa. The brand name "SONELL" is registered with the relevant authorities by M/s. Shah Industries, a group concern and the Company has entered into a franchisee agreement with Shah Industries for the use of the brand name.

The Company is now going for expansion of capacity and manufacture of wooden furniture mouldings and photo frames.

SUBSIDIARY COMPANY

The Company does not have any subsidiary Company, at present.

The company has instead of constructing the factory building to house the new plant and machinery , purchased an existing factory building at Silvassa, very near to the existing clock plant.
