Promact Plastics Limited was incorporated on 25th March, 1985 as a Private Limited Copmpany vide the incorporation certificate No.7746 in the name and style of Promact Plastics Pvt Ltd. at Ahmedabad and subsequently converted into a Public Limited Company vide a special resolution passed on 15th February, 1993 and a certificate to that effect was obtained from the office of Registrar of Companies, Gujarat, on 24th March, 1993.

The Company is presently engaged in the manufacture of Synthetic woven sacks of HDPE/PP. The project was appraised by Gujarat Industrial & Technical Consultancy Organisation Ltd. The Company started commercial production in the year 1986-87 with an installed capacity of 300 tpa. In 1988-89 and 1989-90 the company achieved a capacity utilisation of 81%. In 1989-90, the plant was modernised by way of installing a T-Die Tape Line in place of normal Extrusion Tape Line increasing the installed capacity to 532 tpa. The Company was able to achieve 100% capacity utilisation on the enhanced capacity in the year 1990-91. In 1991-92, the Company added one more tape line to increase the installed capacity to 1,200 tpa. In 1992-93, the company has been able to achieve more than 100% capacity utilisation on the increased capacity.

The Company has been promoted by Shri Naranbhai N Patel.
