The company was incorporated as a private limited company in the state of Maharashtra for setting up a solvent extraction plant for the manufacture of soyabean oill and de-oiled cakes on the 12th February 1987. Subsequently it was converted into a public limited company started commercial production in its Chhindwara unit from December 1990.

The company is selling refined oil in domestic market under the brand name "ManPasand". The deoiled cake is exported to middle east, east Europe and other hard currency areas.The company does not have any subsidiary company. The company was orginally promoted in 1987 by Dr.Sittaram M Bhattad, a non resident Indian and a food technologist . IFCI and IDBI have sanctioned financial assistance by way of term loans and equity participation in the project.
Due to various reasons the project was not implemented . Subsequently in 1990 the SHRISHRIMAL group of Raipur, (Shri Shrishrimal family) which is allready engaged in the solvent extraction activity, since last 27 years was inducted as co-promoters.
