Marg Securities Ltd., was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956, on 16th June, 1993 as a public limited company and obtained certificate of commencement of business on 25th June, 1993. The Company commenced operation in September 1993 with an issued and subscribed capital of Rs.
21.56 lakhs. By December 1993, the subscribed capital increased to Rs. 1061 lakhs and it was further enhanced through a Public Issue that opened for subscription on 7th February, 1994. Consequently, the paid-up capital got increased to Rs. 309.11 lakhs as on the first accounting period ending September 1994. The Company obtained SEBI registration as Category-I Merchant Banker in April 1994 and the consent to operate on its subsidiary corporate membership of the Madras Stock Exchange in May 1994. Since then, the entire capital market operations have been carried out directly by the Company. The Company has also obtained the dealership of the OTCEI at Madras and commenced operations during October 1994.
