YEAR EVENTS
1989 - The Koluthara exports Pvt Ltd was incorporated on 22nd September
and the assets of the partnership firm was take over by Koluthara
exports Pvt. Ltd. in 1990.

1991 - Koluthara exports private limited was converted into a public
limited company with equity participation of Marine products
export development authority and Kerala state industrial
development corporation.

1993 - The Company has been categorised under `A' List by United States
Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for importing Seafood
products into United States as a result of consistent supply of
quality seafoods under the strict monitoring of in house
fullfledged quality assurance and research and development wing.

- The Company have introduced individual Quick Freezing Facility in
the production. This is a latest technique in the seafood
process industry and the trade in international market.

- The Company have adopted the latest technology of IQF freezing;
by fluidisation process, using the latest imported machine
Flo-Freeze 2 RMA from M/s. Frigoscandia Food Processing Systems,
Sweden, who are the world leaders in manufacture of food freezing
equipment.

1994 - The company undertake a substantial expansion/modernisation
programme through the installation of additional freezing unit,
pre-processing unit, etc.

1995 - The Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed for the
period from the 12th to 18th September, for the purpose of the
Annual General Meeting of the Company.

- During the year, the Company has faced with certain problems due
to the incidence of plague in Surat in September '94 which
resulted in stringent quality check up by the European and
American buyers leading to slowing down of the exports.

- With a view of diversifying the activities, the Company has
decided to enter into aquaculture farming for which 200 acres of
land will be acquired in Nagapattinam District of Tamil Nadu.

1999 - The company has informed that it has become sick company U/S 15
of SICA. It has applied to the BIFR.

2000 - The Company has become a sick company and accordingly registered
with BIFR vide Regn. No. 332/99. The Company is in process of
submitting rehabilitation scheme to BIFR.
