The Company was originally incorporated on March 06, 2000 under the Companies Act, under the name 'Netflier Communications Limited'. Subsequently, the name of the Company was changed to 'Manaksia Alumina Limited' on December 03, 2002 and a fresh certificate of incorporation consequent to change of name was issued by the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal. The name of the Company was further changed to 'Florence Alumina Limited' on March 11, 2003 and then again changed to its current name, i.e. 'JK Agri Genetics Limited' on November 19, 2012 and fresh certificates of incorporation consequent to changes of name were issued by the Registrar of Companies, West Bengal. -Establishment of JK Agri Genetics Ltd. (A division of JK Industries Ltd.), with the prime objective to develop high yielding varieties of seeds that boost agricultural productivity.

1990
-Commencement of R&D activities in Bajra (Pearl Millet), Jowar (Sorghum) & Maize crops.

1995
-Marketing of Cotton Hybrids

1997
-Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR) recognition of R&D center at Ravalkol.

1998
-Jowar (Sorghum) Hybrid JKSH 22- A winner and top selling single proprietary research hybrid in India.

2000
-The successful launch of high-yielding Rice hybrid JKRH 401.
-An Agreement signed with ICRISAT for the development of high-yielding Bajra (Pearl Millet) and Jowar (Sorghum) hybrids.

2009
-Accreditation of JK Quality Control Laboratory by ISTA, Netherlands

2010
-Establishment of state-of-the-art seed conditioning plant for processing, packing and quality control operations.

2011
-Processing facility at Kota, Rajasthan.

2016
-Swaziland Environment Authority (SEA) approves JKAGL BT cotton (X-gene) for commercial release in Swaziland.

2018
-JK Agri Genetics Ltd enters the Ethiopian Bt cotton market.
