Bharat Immunological and Biologicals corporation Limited incorporated on 10 March, 1989 as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, rated on 10 March, 1989 as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1956 and obtained the certificate of commencement of business on 20th March, 1989 from the Registrar of companies, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The Registered office of the Company is localted at 395, Civil Lines, Bulandshahr 203001 Uttar Pradesh. The company is setting up a project at village chola, District Bulandharh, Uttar Pradesh for the manufacture of 100 million doses of Oral Polio Vaccine per annum and also undertake R&D in the area of immunologicals.

The Company has been promoted by Government of India, Ministry of Science and Technology, Department of Biotechnology in the Public sector.

1989

-BIBCOL was established by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt.of India as a Central Public Sector Unit and incorporated under the Company’s Act 1956.

1996

-The company started formulating OPV from bulk.

1999

-The company acquired WHO-GMP certification

2000

-BIBCOL bagged an order from UNICEF as well as from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt.of India for a total of 170 million doses.

2001

-The company bagged another larger order of 270 million doses from UNICEF as well as from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt.of India.

2005

-For the first time, the company has signed a MoU with DBT for the fiscal year

2006

-The company has secured a place among the Top 20 Bio tech companies in the country through its commendable performance

2007

-Bharat Immunologicals & Biologicals Corporation Ltd has appointed Sh. N S Samant, Joint Secretary, Department of Biotechnology as Director of the Company in place of Sh. U N Behera, with effect from January 19, 2007.

-Appointment of Shri. S Subbiah, who was appointed as Managing Director on the Board of Directors.

2011

-The Company appointed Ms. Sheila Sangwan, Sh. Sreeshan Raghwan and Dr. Y. K. Gupta, as Directors of the Company.

2013

- Again BIBCOL bagged full order of MOHFW for supply of Oral Polio Vaccine for national immunization programme.
