The company was incorporated on the 7th, March 1992. The company is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of photographic chemicals including EDTA Acid 40 MT p.a., Ferric sodium EDTA Di and tetra sodium salt 50 MT p.a., Ferric Ammonium EDTA 80 MT p.a., Ferric Ammonium EDTA 10 MT p.a.. The company's manufacturing unit is located at MIDC industrial area, Khed taluka, Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra. The company is promoted by Mr. Avinash D. Vora.

The company has a marketing arrangement Allied Photographic Ltd., whereby the goods supplied will labelled "manuactured by AVI Photochem Ltd." and "Marketed by Allied Photographic Ltd.".

In November 1992 came out with a maiden public issue by issuing 24,00,000 equity shares to the public and another 8,00,000 equity shares reserved for the promoters. The issue was made for expansion and backward integration and to increase the aggregate capacity to 1800 TPA.
