1980
- The company was incorporated on 6th February 1980 under the name of Vishant Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., and subsequently its name was changed on 10th February 1989 to Associated Marmo Industries Pvt. Ltd. Further the name of the Company was changed to the present one on 27th April 1992 upon conversion into a public limited company. It was promoted by Dilip Kumar Bagla.
- The main object of the company is to manufacture marble slabs and polished marble tiles under the brand name `MARMO'.
- The company undertook to expand the Marmo Brand marble tiles production from the existing capacity of 9.75 lakhs sq. ft. to 17.50 lakhs sq. ft. per annum and diversify into manufacture of
polished granite slabs with an annual capacity of 1.35 lakhs sq. ft.

1995
- 6,37,000 shares were subscribed by promoters, directors etc. 37,19,000 shares then issued at par which were allotted as follows:
- (i) 6,69,000 shares to resident directors, their relative etc.
- (ii) 30,50,000 shares to the public out of which only 14,39,200 shares were applied by the public (all were allotted).
- Remaining 16,10,800 shares were allotted to underwriters in term of contract obligation.
